Introduction

The job market is constantly changing, and technology-driven careers are becoming more and more popular.

The COVID-19 pandemic has further hastened this process by altering how we work, imbibe, and reside. In order to survive, businesses have had to change the way they operate. This has necessitated reskilling a huge chunk of their workforce to provide them with in-demand skill sets.

According to the third edition of the World Economic Forum's Future of Jobs Report, which maps the jobs and skills of the future, 50% of all employees will need to reskill by 2025 as the adoption of technology increases.

However, no matter what field you choose, having certain career skills can increase your likelihood of success. In this article, we will review some of the most valuable modern skills to develop to stay in demand for future jobs.

Why is it important to reskill?

Greater technology adoption will mean a change of skills across the jobs, and skills gaps will continue to be high. Those employees who stay in their roles will also witness the significant change of the core skills for their jobs. So, it is essential for both sides – companies and employees – to set up a mind for the future and start preparation works.
