Description: This is a Bay Area non-profit international theatre organization which brings the best of South Asian stories to universal audiences and provides a platform for nurturing performing arts talent. We seek to promote diversity and professional growth in local artists through educational programs, thought-provoking events, and onstage representation.

We are seeking talented and creative high school students interested in pursuing a career in graphic design, online marketing, or branding. The candidate will need to be highly motivated, work well under pressure, be open to constructive feedback, and keep up with the fast-paced and rapidly changing social media landscape.

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of and interest in social media and current trends, as well as an eye for crafting a unique aesthetic. An interest in photography, videography, or motion graphics is a plus!

Responsibilities:

  • Work with internal partners to design and produce compelling graphics
  • Own and manage assigned projects; keep partners informed of developments, deliver on deadlines and check-in with mentor in case of bumps
  • Work towards maintaining the design language, tonality and hygiene factors
  • Contribute towards improving the visual brand identity & the brand guidelines
  • Work with cross-functional teams like Operations, Marketing in giving visual life to content pieces
  • Build and maintain good relationships across the design community to understand the latest design trends and implement them
  • Implement brand standards and help us find new ways to effectively communicate brand mission and values
  • Stay up to date with the best design/marketing practices and current technological improvements

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with popular design tools like Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign or CC
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

This role will be responsible for designing the communication/content pieces that will go out to the customers on different platforms like social media, in-app & push notifications, website, brochures and other offline marketing collaterals.

*Duration:  8-10 weeks (Tentative start date: Oct 1, 2021). Expected work hrs per week 4-5hrs.

*Qualification: High School Student (Incoming 9th - 12th grader)

Required Skills: Organization skills, Good communication skills, ease of use of social media and digital marketing, Adobe photoshop

Desired Skills: adobe creative cloud (illustrator, photoshop, InDesign)
