Internship Description

We are looking for imaginative and passionate writer with out-of-the-box ideas and excellent grammar who want to gain experience. Student will have the chance to learn about the industry first-hand and have high accountability as they will be given high priority, real world tasks throughout the internship.

We are excited to offer a unique opportunity to aspiring writers and storytellers. We are currently seeking highly motivated interns to join our team and work with the ****** School of Drama during the summer of 2023. This internship will involve collaborating with a collective of writers to create and adapt stories for future ESOD students. ****** is dedicated to embracing both Eastern and Western storytelling. The purpose of this internship is to delve into the vast collection of South Asian narratives along with exploring stories from other Asian cultures. Our aim is to select a diverse group of writers who will create scenes and adapt stories into short plays to add to our curriculum-based programming.

Responsibilities

  • Developing creative ideas and concepts
  • Amending, revising, or redeveloping stories/concepts in response to feedback from the creative director, account team or colleagues
  • Play a key role in the content development of the stories; from contributing your own original stories to working with other brands and writers on current/future content partnerships
  • Support our content initiatives
  • Think creatively about new ways to engage audience through our content
  • Perform additional duties and help with other projects assigned by the manager

Desired Profile Requirements:

  • Enjoys writing and can create concise, professional stories quickly
  • Ability to work autonomously and use critical thinking
  • Proven track record with high standards of professionalism
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong working relationships inside and outside the organization
  • Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, organized
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet multiple objectives in an entrepreneurial environment with little supervision
  • Video or film creation experience a plus

Participants of our Internship receive reignition in our curriculum along with a one day staged festival of the reading of all work used in our curriculum.

Important Information: Applicants must be aged 16 or older.
